Can you believe February begins tomorrow?! What the heck! Might as well start planning my 50th birthday because time is flying by! Because tomorrow is February 1st, that means Valentine’s Day is 2 weeks away! Eric and I haven’t even made plans yet…oops. We will probably end up going somewhere close to home because we are totally THAT couple. Sometimes I would much rather spend a date night at “our place” instead of a fancy restaurant.
Since Valentines Day is almost here, I figured I would give you some outfit inspiration. Yes, I’m sure we would all love to wear a super cute dress with bare legs and heels, but more than half of the country is still covered in snow, am I right? That is why I decided to choose a statement coat paired with over the knee boots for this Valentines Day.
I absolutely adore this statement coat. I love the color, pattern and especially love the distressed gold buttons. This coat is from Anthropologie and unfortunately, is no longer available because this is a style from last year. Don’t worry, there are SO many cute statement coats out right now and I made sure to link a ton at the bottom of this post.
Of course I wanted to pair this coat with a striped tube dress because I love mixing prints. This type of dress is a great closet staple because it will pair with almost anything. This dress would look great with a utility jacket, chambray or plaid top tied around your waist, or a cute fuzzy vest. If you don’t have a dress like this one, you definitely should add it to your wardrobe.
