Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. I love all of the decor, sweet treats and of course all of the PINK! It will always be an extra special holiday because February 14, 2011 was my first real dinner date with Hubs. We went to California Pizza Kitchen, laughed all night, and the rest is history!
This dress is perfect for Valentines Day because it is so feminine and the shape is extremely flattering. As I mentioned before in my past post, I’m a huge fan of the skater-style dress because it really brings your waste-line in and creates that “hourglass” shape. I especially love this dress from Ted Baker because the color is so bright and the print is so vibrant. Ted baker never disappoints, that’s for sure!

I have had a lot of experience with Valentine’s Day gift making/giving seeing that Hubs and I started dating six years ago. With that being said, I wanted to share my top three DIY valentines day gift tutorials! I have found these on Pinterest over the years, and have had success with all three. If you are struggling with gift ideas and want to make something for your special someone, I would totally recommend any of these!
This first DIY gift was a total hit. I made it early on in our relationship and I have to say it’s still my favorite Valentines day gift thus far. Hubs really appreciated the time I spent on it and we still hide hearts for each other to this day. It was a little time consuming, so if time is not on your side I do not recommend this one for you.
The second DIY gift is a breakfast item that went over SUPER well. The french toast was so easy to make (just make sure to purchase a good heart-shaped cookie cutter) and the final product was almost too pretty to eat! This one is an easy Valentine’s Day gift to make and it doesn’t take much prep time.
The third DIY gift (number 2 on the list) is the most recent one I’ve made. I have to say it was super easy to make and kind of hilarious. It’s a spin off of those gorgeous red-rose bouquets we girls love. I mean, what guy doesn’t love a bouquet of red undies?! This did not take much time to put together however, it was surprisingly difficult to find red underwear for men. I would say this one takes a moderate amount of time when compared to the other two.
I hope this helps some of you in your hunt for the perfect Valentines Day gift. If you decide to try one, let me know how it goes in the comments below. I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!
