Before we talk plaid, I have to tell you guys a story because THE most hilarious thing happened to me this past Sunday. Hubs plays softball every Sunday and I always go to cheer him on (best wife right here, I gotta say ;). Well, this Sunday was different. LET ME TELL YOU. It turned out their team was short 2 players and would have to forfeit if they didn’t find anyone to play. Well, low and behold there I am sitting on the bench with my friend who is also a “softball wife.” The boys ended up asking us to play…HA! At first we thought they were joking (this was not a co-ed team, you see)…they were not. After some begging and pleading we ended up playing. At one point I stuck my glove up to catch the ball and had a bit of a Sandlot moment…”please catch it, please catch it” I thought to myself. I even sprinted around the bases in my Ugg boots (dedication right there). Turns out I wasn’t half bad; this girl got 3 hits and 2 outs! I couldn’t even believe it and neither could the boys on the team! I think Hubs and I will be laughing about that game for a very long time.
Anywho, today I will be blogging about THE PERFECT plaid shirt! Awhile back I was moseying through Nordstrom and came across some plaid shirts made by Rails. The colors were so vibrant and the materials was SO soft. Rails is even based in LA which is so cool because thats where I live!
My sister and I both love plaid shirts and she ended up giving this one to me as a birthday present. Now that I have a blueish pinkish one, I am planning to get a red one next! Plaid shirts are a great closet staple because they go with almost anything and can be dressed up with a cute skirt, a statement necklace, and heels or dressed down with a pair of jeans, white tee, and sandals like the ones I’m wearing in the photos. These Rails shirts are definitely a must!
I love this blogging thing, it gives me a chance to share some super cute outfits and make it a positive environment for you all. With that being said, todays word of encouragement are: “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny” – C.S. Lewis. So have a wonderful week and strive to be extraordinary! 🙂
