Happy Wednesday! Today has got to be one of my favorite posts because I get to share more about myself AND it’s a game that I was nominated for by one of my friends Faryn of Really, It’s Fine – go check out her blog, she’s hilarious and has such cute style!

Here’s how the game goes… I answer 11 questions about myself (questions courtesy of Faryn 😉 and then I get to tag 11 of my favorite bloggers and ask them 11 questions of my choosing.

1. What’s the number one tip you would give to new bloggers?

Be yourself and never give up on your goals! Ok, that’s two pieces of advice I know, but they are SO important! There were so many days where I found myself trying to be someone else and losing site of what I imagined for this blog. It’s so important to be you and to be confident in that. Blogging is definitely a roller coaster. Some days are so fast you can’t catch up and other days are difficult presenting challenges. Stick with it! If you do, you will definitely reach the goals you set and so much more.

2. If you could only eat one flavor of ice cream for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Oh my gosh. Hardest question EVER. I think I would have to pick chocolate chip cookie dough. It’s been one of my favorites for a long time!

3. Where do you do most of your shopping?

Definitely Nordstrom and Anthropologie! These two are my ALL time favorite stores. Since, I got married I definitely have had to be more strategic with shopping because these stores can be pricey. Sales are definitely my best friend. Speaking of sales, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale  – Early Access starts tomorrow!!! I will be posting my favorites from the sale soon so be on the look out for that 🙂

4. What do you do that drives your significant other crazy?

This one just makes me laugh! I was literally talking to my sister about the answer to this question the other day. Ok here it is… Every time Hubs gets up to go anywhere (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, etc.), I always ask ” Where are you going?” I don’t know why I do it, I really think it’s a habit at this point. I mean, our apartment is small so where could he possibly go? I have really been working on it lately.

5. What made you decide to start blogging?

I have always loved fashion and have gotten compliments on my clothing. Awhile back I started following some bloggers and completely fell in love with it. I started researching style blogs, mustered up the courage to start my own blog, and the rest is history! You can read more about where my love for fashion started and how I came up with my name on my About Me Page.

6. What is your go to song to when you’re getting ready to go out?

I love anything Country. Billy Currington and Sam Hunt are my JAM. I have also had “Castle on the Hill” by Ed Sheeran on repeat during my drives home from work!

7. What blogger do you look up to the most?

Emily Gemma from The Sweetest Thing is my favorite blogger EVER! She loves Jesus and has the cutest style. I really admire her love for family and her hard work. She is definitely one of the main bloggers that inspired my to start this blog!

8. What’s the recipe for your specialty? (Yes, I plan on stealing all of these and using them for myself.)

I love making these two recipes (Hubs loves them too): Cilantro Lime Chicken with Avocado Salsa and Hawaiian Chicken Kebabs. Both are healthy and relatively easy to make. I definitely recommend making these in your own home!

9. If you could meet any celebrity who would it be and why?

Such a tough one. I’m currently watching New Girl while answering this question so I’m going to have to say I would love to meet Zooey Deschanel. She is so hilarious and seems like a super cool person.

10. What kind of camera do you use for your blog?

I actually use my iPhone 6s A LOT. My sister has a Canon EOS Rebel T6s camera, so she has been shooting my photos recently. She’s out of town for the summer and will be in Iowa for school in the fall so I’m hoping to get a Canon DSLR for my birthday next month! Would love suggestions if you have any!

11. What has been the most exciting thing to happen to you so far this year?

Wow, this is a difficult one. I truly feel that God has blessed me so much, I can’t pick! I have to say that Hubs getting promoted was once of the most exciting things this past year. He works so hard for this family and I am beyond proud of him. In “blogging land” the most exciting things that have happened to me were being accepted in to rewardStyle and being featured by Target! When Target reached out saying that they wanted to feature me, I don’t think I could breathe the rest of the day out of excitement!
