Happy SATURDAY! This week I had the opportunity to try a new skin care brand Shaklee YOUTH. Ever since high school, my skin has been very sensitive. I have never really had bad acne, but have had to be very careful with the skin care products I use because my skin gets irritated very easily. Since I have gotten older, I am always on the hunt for skincare products that helps my skin look young and vibrant. I know, I am only 26 which is young, BUT you can never start too early when it comes to skincare!
I was so excited when Statusphere gifted me this Shaklee YOUTH skin care set complimentary to try and review. I was a little skeptical at first, but I’m really glad I tried these products. All of Shaklee’s YOUTH products are vegan, gluten free and cruelty free. The set sent to me included the Youth Activating BB Cream in 4 shades, the Youth Radiance C + E product and the Youth Activating Serum.
I want to start off with the Youth Activating Serum. I really like this serum. It feels nice on my face and is super hydrating. I have been putting it on after my toner and before my moisturizer in the morning and at night for a week now and have noticed that my skin is definitely more hydrated. I know serums are great for making your skin look younger, and I can definitely say this one does that!
Next is the Youth Radiance C + E product. This product looks super interesting as you can see, but its a small pod that contains pure vitamin C, pure vitamin E and Raspberry extract to plump and brighten skin while reducing fine lines! This product feels grainy on your skin, but it’s probably because this is not a moisturizer. This product is meant to be used once a day. I have been putting it on after the serum, but before my moisturizer at night. I have only been using this product for a week so I have not noticed a huge difference in my fine lines, but my skin does look more vibrant.
Lastly is the Youth Activating BB Cream. Unfortunately, I did not really like this product. The coverage is SUPER minimal, and it looked like I wasn’t wearing any makeup at all. It felt really nice and moisturizing on my skin, but I would not use this in my normal makeup routine. If you like light coverage with a moisturizing effect, you may really like this product!
Overall I did like these products. I will definitely continue to use the Youth Activating Serum and the Youth Radiance C + E for more vibrant skin. If you would like to learn more about this skincare line, check it out here!
