2017 has come and gone and now we are just a few days away from the new year! As I get older, time continues to fly by faster and faster. As the year comes to an end, I reflect back on what 2017 has brought me and my family. God has truly blessed us this year and I’m so grateful. Some of the highlights of this year are becoming full-time at the hospital, seeing Hubs kill it at his job and seeing my blog start to gain momentum. Yes, my blog is still very small, but it has definitely taken an avenue of it’s own.
This time of year brings about feelings of reflection and motivation for the coming new year. If I could title this past year with one word it would be “perseverance.” There were many times that I felt knocked down by life, work or blogging, but I continued to persevere. Life is like that. It will constantly have peaks and valleys; ups and downs. It is then that we must persevere. With perseverance in mind, the only way I know how to make it through those valleys is to rely on Him.
I’m not going to lie, I’m SO bad with New Year’s resolutions. But this year I am going to do my BEST to stick with them. The first resolution I have is to exercise more. Yes, I am just like everyone else with this one 😀 My next {and most important} resolution is to read my Bible everyday. I know that reading the Word can only strengthen my relationship with Christ and this is something that I have been meaning to do for awhile.
I challenge you to think of a resolution that will help change your life in a positive way. It doesn’t have to be the same as mine. Maybe it’s to pray for those who are a part of your life or maybe it’s to write down 3 things your thankful for each day. It only takes 30 days to form a habit people, so we have no excuse! 🙂
