Before we get into outfit details, I have to tell you guys about my crazy week! Let’s start with Monday. I left work a tad early on Monday to make it to my doctor’s appointment and while driving, I thought to myself ‘this doesn’t really look like the city where the doctor is located, hm…’ Well, thats because it wasn’t! I had driven to the wrong location (insert squinty face emoji here). Fast forward to Tuesday while driving to my second doctor’s appointment for the week (different doctor this time) I began thinking to myself ‘wow this looks really similar to the doctor’s office I was at yesterday…” and that’s because it WAS the doctor’s office I had gone to the day before! OH EM GEE how could this happen two days in a row! Obviously you can see I started off the week on the right foot…
Come Wednesday, I was called into work at three of our hospital facilities, (I work at a huge hospital with inpatient and outpatient locations) which are conveniently located all over Orange County. I think my leg cramped up five times while driving in all that traffic… Thank God – Thursday was chill. I did all of my work on time and I was home early enough to cook dinner (microwavable Mac-N-Cheese [reduced guilt, thanks Trader Joes]). And then we have Friday…I worked ICU (Intensive Care Unit) all day and I’m pretty sure I wrote recommendations for five tube feeds. FIVE. For any of you who are clinical RD’s or work in a hospital, YOU KNOW five is just beyond the limit! Let’s just say my brain felt like jello for the rest of the night!
Whew! It makes me tired even thinking of the week I had!
Moving on to the outfit details: this week I decided to veer away from my brightly colored outfits and try out some neutrals. I absolutely LOVE this sweater from Ann Taylor. It is so soft and it goes with everything! I paired it with some light gray jeans which is a super fun alternative to the classic blue jeans. I dressed up the outfit with a pedant necklace and I have to say I have received so many compliments on it! I love accessorizing outfits with fun necklaces because they really tie the outfit together! For my shoes, I am wearing nude flats from Cole Haan. You guys – these shoes are the BOMB! They are super cute AND are the most comfortable flats I have EVER owned. Seriously, the most comfortable EVER! Of course, last but not least, is my handbag from Marc Jacobs. It’s on the pricier side BUT it’s beige so it goes with any outfit and holds pretty much everything you need.

Today’s word of encouragement comes from one of my favorite bible verses: “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me” Jeremiah 29:11-13. MAN, that verse just gives me so much joy, excitement, and comfort knowing that God is in complete control. HE is leading me into a future filled with so much good and hope, how encouraging is that! Happy Saturday everyone!
