Today, I’m sharing one of my new favorite styles – the military jacket. The jacket I am wearing in these photos has a bit of a funny story behind it. I actually have had this jacket for years. I’m pretty sure I bought it when I was a freshman in college. I distinctly remember my mom picking it out and convincing me that I needed it in my closet. I was a little hesitant because of the gigantic bell sleeves (which were not in style yet). Fast forward a few years and I still wear this jacket every winter.
The placement of the buttons is really what I love most. That type of style is what makes the jacket “military style.” As most of you know, I love statement pieces and this style of jacket is definitely one. When choosing a statement jacket, such as this, I gravitate toward the neutral colors. This balances out the boldness of the jacket making it more versatile. Because this jacket it a neutral tan, I LOVE pairing it with fun pants like these red ones. This jacket would also look super cute with a patterned skinny jean like this pair or this pair from Anthropologie.

Eric and I will be doing LOTS of cleaning this weekend. This week has been so busy, we still haven’t fully unpacked from our vacation in Lake Arrowhead. If you want to read more about that trip, make sure you check out my last post here. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
