This is definitely my favorite spring outfit to date! I saw these lemon pants awhile back and loved how fun and different they were. I love the cropped cut and the slight flare. And of course I’m obsessed with the lemon print! I have always been this way with fashion – choosing items that aren’t necessarily ‘on trend’. Don’t get me wrong, I love to follow trends {hello tassel trend}, but I also love experimenting with new things that haven’t been worn repeatedly. It definitely seems as though the lemon trend has begun this spring because now I’m seeing lemon print and accessories everywhere and I’m loving it!
If you are on the shorter side like me {I’m 5’3″}, I would DEFINITELY recommend purchasing these pants in a petite size. I originally tried on the regular length in these pants, and they didn’t have quite the ‘cropped’ look I was going for. It just looked like I was wearing “high-waters” waiting for the flood to come. Not cute. As far as waist size, these pants are very true to size.
This top is one of my favorites for spring and summer. I purchased it last year at Anthropologie and it has since sold out. I found it on Shein for a much less expensive price {YAY}, but then it sold out again 🙁 I will keep my eyes peeled for a restock and let you know the second I find it but in the meantime, I made sure to link similar tops that are just as cute.
Pants: Anthropologie, Top: Anthropologie {sold out}, Shein version here, love this top, Shoes: Privileged similar here, Sunglasses: Celine similar here, Purse: Amazon, Bracelet: Bauble Bar, Lips: Tarte “Festival”
When I began writing this post, I was trying to come up with a clever caption and the only thing that kept popping in my mind was “Life and Lemons.” Now, I thought to myself, ‘if the title says “Life and Lemons” then I should probably share something about my life’. Sharing life with people isn’t always the easiest; I actually get nervous sharing personal things on my blog. The title is appropriate however, because lately I have really been tested in a few things. Mainly, confidence in who God made me to be and thankfulness. The first one is for another day, but today I’m going to share a little more about thankfulness. Eric and I have recently started looking at homes and thinking about taking the next steps in our lives {no, no kids yet}. Looking for homes in Southern California is ROUGH and extremely discouraging. We have had a few friends move out of state into gorgeous homes and it’s difficult knowing that it’ll be awhile before we are homeowners. I mean, SoCal condos are more expensive than 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom homes in other states. I can’t help but feel discouraged during this process, but these feelings have forced me to be diligent in prayer. Through prayer, I have realized I have A LOT to be thankful for. Maybe it’s not our time for a house, but it IS time to remember how far we have come as a couple and thank Him for all the blessings He has given us.
