I have to say this has been one of the most difficult posts to write thus far. What do you get the man who loves you unconditionally and raised you to be the woman you are? That’s a good question! I actually went and interviewed my dad for some inspiration. His response was more on the handmade side, so I am going to provide some items that can be store bought, and some that can be made at home!
1. White Tommy Bahama Button Down Shirt.
Dads always need a good dressy casual shirt and Tommy Bahama’s are great! They re nice quality and aren’t too pricey
2. Colorful/Hawaiian Tommy Bahama Button Down Shirt.
Almost every dad I know wears Hawaiian styled shirts, so if your dad doesn’t have one yet, this is a great gift!
3. Mens Sperry “Gold Cup” Boat Shoes.
My dad and my husband live in these shoes in the summer time. Sperry makes a ‘Gold Cup” line which is the most comfortable shoe ever. You can find an on sale version here.
This one is actually a gift my dad suggested. HE lives in these sandals and they are great because they mold to your feet when you wear them.
5. The Art of Shaving Full Size Shaving kit
Many men shave almost every day, and I have heard great things about these products! This full size kit includes everything but if you are looking for more of a trial kit, the less expensive, smaller version is here
6. Leather Initialed Toiletry bag
I absolutely love this bag. The material looks high quality and it can be personalized.
My dad wears this kind of cologne, but any cologne is a great gift for Father’s day! Some other favorites are Kenneth Cole, Fendi, and John Varvatos
I actually gave this to Hubs for our wedding and its a gorgeous men’s watch. The gunmetal color is so sleek. I know my dad would love this watch.
The leather band watches are more casual watches and go with most things. My dad loves watches with a white face, and these gold accents really make the watch look great.
These are a great shape and will look good on most men. I would recommend getting polarized sunglasses. They are a little more pricey, but you can see much more clearly when the glasses are polarized.
Here’s where we get into the homemade gifts. A store bought gift is very nice, but I always lean toward homemade gifts for these types of holidays. Maybe it’s because my family always requests homemade gifts. I have not made any of these yet, but they all have great directions and seem pretty straight forward!
This one has great directions and seems super easy to make! Coupon books are always a great idea because they are simple to create and are fun to use all year long!
12. Photo Coasters
I have been meaning to try these, but just haven’t made time. I especially love these because they are sentimental and functional at the same time. It would be fun to use pictures from all ages.
This is a great gift that most dad’s would love and won’t break the bank. I love the golf theme mentioned in this link, but other themes such as “movie night”, “a trip to the park”, or “sports day” would be entertaining as well.
14. Certificate for all day sports
There’s no link for this one. All you have to do is draw and create a certificate that says you’ll watch sports with your dad all day! You can make it a fun event and provide gamed snacks! This idea comes as a courtesy of my dad – guess I know what I’m making for him 😉
15. Bake your dads favorite dessert
This one doesn’t have a link because everyone’s dad’s favorite dessert is different! Find a sneaky way to ask what his favorite dessert is, and get creative! I know my dad would love this one.
If you are looking for more DIY gift ideas, here is a great list. I hope this guide gives you all great ideas on how to celebrate your special man on Father’s Day! Have a great Wednesday guys!
