I’m currently catching up on some Scandal episodes as I’m writing this post. I’m not really liking where Olivia is going with this Luna Vargas, B6-13 thing…anyone else feel that way?! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, and you have Netflix, you HAVE to check out Scandal. It’s such a good, suspenseful show! Kind of political, but still good.
Moving on! This is the second post in my series “Fall Favorites” and I’m going to be sharing the perfect outfit for a fall wedding – a lace Maxi Romper. I saw a similar style of Maxi Romper a few months ago at Norstrom in a mustard color and completely fell in love with the style and silhouette. I didn’t purchase because it was a little bit out of my price range. When I received this Maxi Romper as part of a collaboration with The Mint Julep Boutique, I was BEYOND excited. This one is actually much more reasonably priced and currently on SALE for $39!
I love this style because the “romper” part of the outfit is short and sassy while the lace overlay is classy and elegant. It’s the perfect mix for a fun event like a wedding!
This maxi romper has a deep plunging neckline which is super gorgeous, but it’s not for everyone (including me). I have never felt comfortable wearing things that are super revealing so I decided to add a lacy maroon/burgundy colored bralette underneath to complement the maxi romper and add coverage.
I found these gorgeous statement earrings at Nordstrom rack and knew they would go perfectly with this outfit. The colors in the earrings pull everything together. I love having statement accessories that tie an outfit together. It’s the icing on the cake or that perfectly white bow that comes on a blue tiffany box.

This verse of the day comes from my church service this past Sunday. My pastor said it and I instantly knew I had to share it with you guys because it is such a good reminder for all of us. We are starting a series on David and this verse was in the context of how David was chosen to be King by God through Samuel. The verse is: “But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height…The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the HEART.” Ahhh this verse just makes me want to cry. It’s so good because this world is so focused on outward things – appearance, money, status, but what TRULY matters is where our heart is. And if your heart is filled with Christ, the world sees it. If you want to hear the rest of the message (because we all know I don’t even do it justice), you can watch here: http://www.marinerschurch.org/irvine/messages/ My church always posts their services online so if you aren’t in the Irvine, CA area, you can definitely watch!
Have a happy Wednesday. God bless all of you guys!
