Fall Favorites: Shirt Dress Trend

Now I know we have been transitioning to fall since July (thank you Nordstrom Anniversary sale), but TODAY actually marks the first OFFICIAL day of fall! I absolutely love this season (yes, I’m one of those girls), but how can you beat chunky sweaters, cool breezes, and pumpkin flavored everything?

With the new season, I have decided to begin a blog series titled: Fall Favorites! I have recently fallen in love with blog post series’ because the type-A personality in me just loves something about organization and underlying themes.

Today, I will be sharing one of my favorite fall trends: the shirt dress. I love a good simple and comfortable dress. It makes your look appear put together and effortless at the same time. I absolutely fell in love with this striped shirt dress from Velvet Heart. The material is not too thin, really soft and the dress runs pretty true to size. I am wearing a size XS however I think a size S would have fit me just fine.

Because it’s fall, the boots are back! I purchased these Sam Edelman boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and am completely obsessed. They are a block heel and have a great heel height of 3.5 inches. That may seem like a tall heel, but I have walked around all over in these and they do not hurt my feet AT ALL. The only compliant I have heard in regard to these boots is that the shaft part of the boot is on the skinny side. However, I did not have any issues with the fitting of this boot.
