It’s another Drugstore Beauty Buys post! I’m really starting to love these because trying new products is so much fun! I actually was looking at the Ulta catalog a few days ago and am already planning which products I will feature in my next post. If you missed my last Drugstore Beauty Buys post, you can check it out here. Update on the last post: I actually started to love the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara.
Today, I will be reviewing 5 new drugstore beauty products. Most are L’oreal products because Ulta was having a sale on L’oreal products when I went shopping. Woo hoo for saving money 😉
1.L’oreal Infallible Galaxy Lumiere Holographic Highlighter Stick
This highlighter comes in three shades: Astro Blue, Cosmic Pink and Galaxy Gold. I purchased the cosmic pink because how fun is a pink highlighter?! With that being said, I’m thinking I may return it to get the gold. I absolutely LOVE the pink highlight. It looks really unique however, it seems slightly unnatural to me. I’m actually torn between keeping it and returning it because I don’t have a pink highlighter, but again am having trouble figuring out how to wear it. I’ll keep you posted on whether I keep it or not. PS. I think that this pink highlighter would look amazing on someone with really light blonde hair so if that’s you, I say go for it!
2.L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise
Okay GUYS. This mascara is THE BOMB. I had heard good things about it so naturally, I had to try it myself. First off the brush is amazing! It separates all of your lashes while making them look thick and voluminous {said “voluminous” the other night and Eric goes “that’s not a word” but it totally is}. Anyway, I really love how this mascara takes my long lashes {thank you Lash Boost} and makes them look even thicker and longer. 100% recommend this!!!
3.L’oreal Brow Stylist Definer
Let me start by saying, I have never filled in my own eyebrows before using this product. My mom always tells me I was blessed with good brows. I really do not have to do much to maintain them. I have actually never even gotten my brows done before, I just tweeze here and there and that’s it. With that being said, I have seen all of tons makeup bloggers do their brows and thought, maybe I should try it! I actually liked this product. I liked how it has two sides, one being the pencil and the other being the brush. For someone who has no clue what she is doing, it was fairly easy to use. The pencil goes on subtly and the brush really blends the color out. Again, I don’t have much to compare to, but I’m definitely a fan.
4.Biore Ultra Deep Cleansing Pore Strips
Love the Biore pore strips! I thought this product was a different product than the one I had previously reviewed, but I was wrong. These are the exact same. Anyway, if you are looking for a great pore cleanser strip, definitely try these!
5.Daylogic Anti-aging Overnight Gel Mask
Not a fan of this one. I really liked the mask I had tried last time, but this anti-aging one left me feeling really dry the next morning. I’m currently using this mask that I love. It’s not a drugstore product, but it’s amazing. You can actually purchase it for 25% off at Ulta today only!
Verse of the Day: “Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone and sat on it. His face shone like lightening and his clothing was white as snow. The guards shook with fear and then fell into a dead faint. Then the angel spoke to the women. ‘Don’t be afraid!’ he said, ‘I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead just as he said would happen. ‘” – Matthew 28: 2-6a. Of course, in honor of tomorrow {Easter Sunday} I had to share this verse. I have to say, I really had chills typing it here. Each day I am more in awe of my Savior who came to suffer, die and be resurrected to save my life and the lives of many!
We are so looking forward to a wonderful Easter weekend. We are spending today with my grandma and then are heading to church and Easter brunch on Sunday and will finish the weekend off with Easter dinner with my in-laws. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week 🙂
