I consider myself somewhat new to the “sunless tanner” or “self-tanner” realm. I really only started seriously using these types of products last fall. My first self-tanner product was the L’Oréal Sublime Bronze Self Tanning Lotion I still use that product, but have found some other ones that do a better job of creating an all-around bronzed/tan look.
I was lucky enough to receive all of these Coola products complimentary {thank you Influenster} so that I could provide an unbiased review. I had briefly heard of Coola prior to receiving these products from friends. Many of my friends mentioned that they have great sunscreens and tinted moisturizers with SPF. Coola claims that all of their products are organic and chemical-free. Sounds pretty great, am I right?!
First off is the Coola Sunless Tan Sculpting Mousse. Let me start by saying this stuff is actually a white foam/mousse when you put it on and has a faint smell of coconuts. Most self-tanners are usually brown or have some sort of tint to them and smell SO BAD {Eric hates the smell of self-tanner}. I actually loved that this stuff was not tinted and the texture of the mousse feels amazing. It was harder to keep track of where I applied the mousse because there is no color. This product went on really smoothly and I was actually shocked at how well it blended together. Most self-tanners can look splotchy the next day, but this stuff looked FLAWLESS {and I’m not the best applier}. It provided a great bronzed, golden look the next day, but it wasn’t as dark as some self-tanners. Overall, I really love this product for a flawless bronze-y, golden look that last for about 3-5 days without reapplication. This self-tanner is a bit pricey, but it’s totally worth it. If you do end up purchasing this product, make sure you use a self-tanner mit {any brand will do} for a flawless look.
Next up is the Sunless Tan Anti-Aging Face Serum. Before trying this product, I was looking into purchase this tanning serum. I don’t like putting self-tanner on my face, because my skin is sensitive and I tend to break out. I wanted a product that would give my face a subtle bronzed look without the irritation. I mix a small amount {like pea size, small} of this serum in with my moisturizer in the morning and at night. I started noticing a slight bronzed tone after two days of use and have maintained a “natural tan look” for the past week and a half now. I have incorporated this product into my morning and night routine, but the tan does not disappear if you forget to use it every day.
Lastly, the Classic Sunscreen White Tea Moisturizer {SPF 50}. I like this product. It is very light and feels like a moisturizer when you put it on. It does not have that film-y sunscreen feel. I have to say, I love the moisturizer I currently use, but may switch over to this product during the summer time. This sunscreen moisturizer has a very fresh and light scent to it. It does smell slightly like sunscreen, but I love the smell of sunscreen. If you like the smell of Bobbi Brown ‘Beach’ products, you will love the smell of this moisturizer.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend all of these products! They can be a bit pricey, but a little bit goes a long way and high quality products aren’t cheap.
