Happy Wednesday! Boy, has it been a BUSY week already! I can’t believe we are already a few days into December… Christmas is going to be here before we know it! Hubby and I just decorated our tree on Monday and the smell of peppermint and pine has filled the air 😀 If you’re like me, you definitely want to get ahead of the game when it comes to your outfit for Christmas. As I mentioned in my first Thanksgiving outfit post, my family always gets super dressed up for holidays! With that being said, most {if not all} of Christmas outfits are dresses!
Yes, I have worn the classic holiday red dress, but this year I may try something new. Don’t get me wrong–I love a good classic red dress for Christmas time, but almost everyone wears that type of look. For this post, I wanted to give you some Christmas outfit inspiration that is different from everyone else. That’s why I chose a fun, gold dress for this year!
Metallic colors and sequins are SO in right now so a gold dress definitely won’t be hard to find. I have had this dress for awhile and unfortunately it is no longer available. BUT I found some really cute ones that would be so perfect for Christmas this year!
My heels are definitely my favorite part of this outfit. I found these plaid, houndstooth heels at DSW and fell in love the second I saw them. The pattern and colors are so fun together and I’m obsessed with the rhinestoned brooch in the front. The best part about these is that they are so inexpensive! I saw a pair JUST like these at J. Crew last year, but they were over $200. These are currently priced at $60! They are a little uncomfortable to walk in initially {as all new shoes are}, but get better as you break them in.
Dress: Anthropologie (old) I love this dress, this dress and this dress, Shoes: DSW {ON SALE}, Lip color: Urban Decay 24/7 Lip Liner color Manic
Do you guys have any favorite holiday styles?? If so, I would love to know in the comments below! If you are covered in the Christmas outfit department, but are still looking for gifts to purchase, make sure you check out my “Gifts under $50,” “Gifts under $100,” and “Gifts for Him” pages 🙂
Verse of the Day: “She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for HE will save His people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21. Man, this verse is so powerful. We can get so caught up in the Christmas time tradition of decorations, gifts, red and green, but sometimes we forget what this season is all about. Reading this verse really helps me to cherish the true meaning of Christmas and for that reason I am SO thankful!
Have a wonderful Wednesday 🙂
