We finally made it to the weekend! Unfortunately, I will be working at the hospital this weekend but that’s okay. I have a confession…I’m totally hooked on the Instagram Story Polls. They are SO helpful! There is no greater reward in blogging than knowing you are creating content that your audience wants to see. I have to say when I created the Thanksgiving outfit poll, I totally thought most people would want to see a dressy Thanksgiving outfit post, but I was totally wrong! 80%+ of voters wanted to see some casual Thanksgiving outfit inspiration. If you are looking for some dressy outfit inspiration, make sure you check out my last post 🙂
I love being cozy in a chunky sweater and a soft pair of jeans. That, to me, is a cute and casual outfit. One that always looks good and is usually super easy to put together. I found this cozy, knit sweater at Anthropologie. It’s a little bit pricier than what I usually have in my closet, but it can be worn well into fall and even winter time so it was worth it. As I mentioned in my Shopping on a Budget blog post, it’s important to save on trends and SPLURGE on staples. This sweater is definitely a staple so I let myself splurge 🙂 It runs true to size and is meant to fit loosely. I’m wearing a size XS.
Any cream/ivory colored top would look great with this cardigan. I tried a classic white top, but felt that it clashed slightly because the colors were off. A gray sweater would also look good because it will compliment the silver metallic tones in the sweater.
I recently got into the distressed denim look and LOVE these jeans from Express. These are very form-fitting yet are still soft and super comfy to wear. I have been wearing these almost every day and they still hold their shape. It is THE worst when you buy a pair of jeans that fit perfectly and then they stretch out. If you want a good, high-quality pair of jeans that keep their shape, you NEED these!
Lastly, I tied this entire outfit together with my favorite Sam Edelman boots. I bought these during the Nordstrom sale and am SO happy that I did. These were also a tad pricey, but a splurge-worthy staple for sure! These boots are the perfect height, without being painful to walk in. I love the camel leather color with this outfit, but really any color boot would look good!

Verse of the Day: “Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” – Matthew 6:33. This is the perfect verse going into the week of Thanksgiving. How can I not be thankful for ALL I have when I know my God supplies everything I need.
I wish you a lovely Saturday full of fun and relaxation! I hope that this post helps inspire you when you are creating your own casual Thanksgiving day look!
