I have always been a girly-girl who LOVES make-up. Ever since I was little, I can remember borrowing my mom’s blush and lipstick and painting it all over my face. Even now, my love for make-up only grows stronger. I’m a total sucker for pretty eye shadow pallets and anything MAC. Because life can be a bit hectic, I’m all about quick and easy make-up looks. So today I will be sharing one of my go-to eye shadow and lip looks.
I have to start by saying, I’m a total MAC girl. Almost all of my eye shadows, lipsticks, lip glosses and blushes are MAC products. Their colors are so pigmented and stay on all day. Because I have a MAC obsession, I was a little hesitant to try the Too Faced an eye shadow palette. After to using it for a little while and figuring out which colors look best on me, I have to say that I LOVE it!!!! The colors go on so smoothly and they stay on ALL day long.
For the first step in my make-up routine I usually put on my moisturizer and my under eye concealer. These 6 next steps are super easy and guaranteed to make your eyes look gorgeous:
- For my eyelids, I ALWAYS start with MAC’s ‘Pro Longwear’ Paint Pot in the color “Painterly” as a base. My eyelids get very oily so this base is a life saver!
- Then I take my eye shadow brush (it’s a super old one from Target, nothing special) and put the “Cafe Au Lait” shadow from the Too Faced Palette on my entire eye lid.
- Then I use the “Mocha” color from the Too Faced Palette in the crease of my eye. I move my brush along the crease in a windshield wiper motion.
- I then put the “Dark Truffle” color from the Too Faced Palette in the outer corner of my eye to create a light smokey look. Make sure to blend the colors together with a blending brush. This one is great!
- Finish off the the look off with “Satin Sheets” from the pallete along the brow bone (just underneath your eye brows) and also on the inner corner of your eye. This will make your eyes look brighter and more awake!
- Put on eye liner and mascara to finish off the eyes.
Now on to the cheeks and lips!
My favorite blush that I usually use is MAC’s Powder Blush in the color “Margin.” My skin is olive-colored so this color works best on me because of the orange undertone. I have used other colored blushes before, but always gravitate back to this one! I take a the Clinique blush brush and put the blush on the apples of my cheeks and extend it along my cheek bones. I love the blush brush from Clinique because it is SO soft.
For my lips I love the MAC lipstick “High Tea.” It’s a shimmery neutral color so it’s perfect for an everyday look. I usually pair that lipstick with the MAC lustreglass lipgloss “Love Nectar” for some extra shimmer. This color is no longer available, but I also love these lip glosses!
There you have it! The perfect easy, go-to makeup routine using the Too Faced Palette. What are your favorite makeup products? If you have any that you would recommend, please let me know in the comments below! 🙂
