Yay happy weekend everyone! I am extra thankful it’s the weekend because Hubs and I haven’t had a weekend together for three weeks :(. In the midst of life’s busy seasons, it’s so important to take time and rest – something I am always trying to work on.
Anyway, everyone knows that jeans are a staple in every closet. I don’t care if your short or tall or your stye is girly or boho, everyone has jeans. I have always had a really tough time finding the right pair of jeans. I am 5′ 3″ and have a small waist with hips so most jeans are either too long, too tight in the hips or too big in the waist. When I find a good pair, it’s almost like it’s my birthday! Over the years, I have found tips and tricks to help find the right pair of jeans.
A dark wash with some fading in the middle is the perfect color to make your legs look slimmer. This type of denim wash is super flattering on almost any body type!
For those girls who have hips, denim with a higher waist line will bring your waist in and create more of the “coke bottle” shape. The high waist line also makes your legs look longer and who wouldn’t want that?!
Some tips that I have for the shorter girl (like me) are to go for the skinny jeans that are the “ankle-cropped” length. They will will hit just above your foot which will prevent bunching and the need to roll them up. Sometimes it looks cute when jeans are rolled (like in the photos), but I don’t like mine rolled all the time.
